Easy Healthy Grab and Go Gluten-Free Snacks & Peanut-Free Snacks!

As someone who is gluten intolerant, finding gluten-free snacks has been difficult. As a working mom, I need to find easy grab-and-go peanut-free, gluten-free snacks for those times I just don’t have time to cook.

I have been scoping out two subscription boxes for 6 months but just couldn’t push the buy button, which is so not like me!

I love subscription boxes! I thought they would be the perfect solution for me. The great thing about subscription boxes is that everything is included in the box. They do the shopping for you! Win, win?

Not always!

Are you looking for great easy grab and go healthy snacks? Check out what I found for gluten free peanut free snacks I'm eating.

Why Gluten-free Snacks Can Be Difficult

If you have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, as I do, avoiding gluten is essential.

I’ve included a video as to why finding snacks for YOU is important in this post!

Not only is avoiding gluten important but also finding snacks that don’t have that “gross gluten-free taste.” Both of these issues are what was holding me back from pushing that “buy now” button.

I even chatted with my husband, who is more spontaneous than me. He started to say yes but then said he had a better idea. He hit the local grocery store and came home with a gluten-free snack haul!!

Easy Healthy Grab and Go Snacks: Gluten-Free & Peanut-Free

I’m so excited to try these out. I will share the links with you so you can see exactly what it is, read the ingredients, and more. Also, the prices we paid will be different because I live in Canada and were bought at a local store.

This means you can totally get these at a store near you. Or add them to your Amazon wish list and get an email when they go on sale.

Why yes, that is one of my favorite money-saving tips!

Why Having Healthy Snacks For Working Moms is Important!

Before I share the list, I want to take a minute to share this video I did on Facebook about WHY having healthy snacks is important:

Watch it on Facebook here!

Did you catch the reasons why you should have healthy food for you?

In order to do “all the things,” we need the right kind of fuel in our bodies to keep going.

Healthy choices help us feel better and cope with all the stress that life throws at us. Plus if you eat junk-it makes you feel icky!

Lastly, it sets the right example for our kids who are always watching.

Are you ready for me to share with you what is in the gluten-free snacks Haul bags??

This is a great starting place if you are like me: out of ideas and don’t really know what is out there to try.

When looking for snack foods, I prefer foods that are not processed to death and full of additives. I’m not overly picky if it is organic or not, but most of the ones in this bag contained organic foods. Yay! I also need peanut-free snacks, so he made sure none of them included peanuts.

Grab a pen, and get ready to add these to your list to try out! These gluten-free snacks are great for you or adding to the great list of snack ideas for the kids.

Love Grown Hot Oats, Gluten Free Peach Almond Vanilla

Gluten Free Peanut Free Snacks

This is also light enough and small enough to fit in your bag to eat at your desk if needed. Love Grown has an entire line of food available, including Keto Friendly. Be sure to double-check that you are getting gluten-free snacks when searching.

Soy Free SunButter

SunButter Sunflower Butter Allergen Free All Natural Alternative to Peanut Butter, perfect for those of us who are looking for great gluten-free snacks with that peanut butter taste!

This came highly recommended from moms who have peanut allergies themselves, or their kids.

I do want to warn you the color is “something else.” It looks a lot like, um, well, baby poo, as my 15 year old happily pointed out. I can work with that, but you should be warned, lol!

I tried this last night on the crackers (listed below), and it was amazingly similar to peanut butter. I was really surprised! It does have this “after taste” I can’t explain, but it is there.

I still think it is going to be perfect for when I am craving peanut butter and much cheaper than Almond butter!

Nakd Nibbles

If you love Nakd Bars, grab a package of these little cuties! These are super yummy!

He picked out two flavors, Strawberries & Cream and Coconut Bliss!

These are 100% natural raw fruit and nut snack nibbles. Free from gluten, wheat, and dairy with no added sugars or syrups. According to Amazon, they are “perfect for those following a kosher or vegan diet”!

All I know is I tried both of these gluten-free snacks, which were delicious.

While I did think these were super yummy, I also know I would only eat one package at a time. Which is a good thing, right? The strawberry one was a little on the sweet side.

Lotus Foods Millet & Brown Rice Ramen Noodles

I’m going, to be honest. I usually stay away from anything that looks like this pre-packaged stuff because it is usually filled with preservatives, salt and junk I am trying to stay way from. BUT I wasn’t the one shopping.

As you can see this did not live up to my expectations because it was gluten-free, low in sodium and low in fat. Stating this out loud earned a glare from my husband. He informed me he checked the ingredients first. Ooops, how dare I think otherwise!

Bonus: ready in 4 minutes! Perfect for busy moms.

My thoughts: I had this for lunch. It was super easy to make and, yes fast! I was not crazy about the Miso favor, blech! I’d like to try a different flavor, as the noodles were really tasty.

Lotus Foods has since expanded to a few different types of gluten-free snacks and foods. Check Lotus Foods out here on Amazon or at your local shopping center.

Central Roast Energy Mix (Men’s)

This made me laugh. I am sure it is good for women too, but marketing does make me laugh sometimes. Anyway, I  have had their nuts, dried fruit mixes before, and the trail mix and loved them.

You can see a slide show here of the other dried fruit mix I love!

The bag is resealable, which is awesome, and has lots of great nuts and fruit ingredients. No peanuts! (Not found on Amazon but you can check it out here)

Patience Fruit & Co Dried Cranberries

Confession: I love dried fruit. I’ll take it over candy any day. BUT I want the ones without sugar and gluten-free. One thing I would recommend when shopping for dried fruit is to read the ingredients. Sugar is often listed among the first 3, which can be frustrating.

Patience Fruit & Co Dried Cranberries are organic and sweetened with apple juice not sugar. This was a big win in my book.

Looking forward to either adding them to the mix above or on their own. Also, it comes in resealable packaging.

PC Organics Jumbo Thompson Raisins

This was so cute and reminded me of my own school days. Does anyone else remember taking little boxes of raisins to school?

I think I just aged myself, anyway. Perfect for on the go! PC is an Atlantic Canadian brand found at our SuperStore. If you have one of those, by all means run in and grab a pack you won’t be disappointed.

If you don’t, you can also get organic raisins as a gluten-free snack on Amazon.

Enjoy Life Caramel Apple Baked Chewy Bars

I am super excited to try this out because I am a protein bar/granola bar junkie!

In case you were wondering, my current favorite bar is SoLo Gi Energy Bar, preferably the Mocha Fudge! To die for!

I like to keep these in my purse or my bag for work as an easy grab and go snack.

As you can see, these Baked Chewy Bars are milk-free, nut-free, and soy-free.

Easy Healthy Grab and Go Snacks: Gluten-Free & Peanut-Free

My husband grabbed apples hoping they would taste like apple pie, maybe because I ate 6 pies in 3 days when I was pregnant. Maybe we should pretend that didn’t happen.

My thoughts: This bar is milk-free, nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free. It is small but filling, which is nice. I took this gluten-free snack with me to work, and it fit perfectly in my purse. However, it did have that distinct “gluten-free taste,” not overly powerful but just a hint. Otherwise great!

Nature’s Nuts Whole Raw California Almonds

This is a massive bag at 907G but my favorite part? Ingredients are: Almonds

Almonds are a major treat because they are so pricey I never ever will buy them. My family doesn’t like them because they are not salted, roasted, or seasoned.

Like most moms, spending money on myself is hard to do. Thus I was very excited to see this in the bag.

Love Grown Raisin Almond Crunch Oat Clusters

I love granola. It has so many uses. Perfect for quick easy breakfast or top it on plain yogurt!

I was super excited to see this one is free of refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, gluten, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors, preservatives, and genetically modified ingredients.

And the practical side of me loves the resealable bag!

Breton Bean Crackers, White and Black Bean

These are by far my favorite cracker. I am NOT a fan of Breton’s Gluten-Free Cracker, they are just gross!

Even my kids, who pick crackers over chips, will not eat them. I eat these Black Bean Gluten-free Crackers all the time!

Needless to say, I can’t wait to test them all out. For me, this is one of the best surprise gifts, something I wanted and need.

As for the subscription boxes…well, I have a “rule” about shopping. If you don’t feel like you LOVE it, then it’s a no go. While I would love to say exactly what is holding me back, the truth of the matter is-I really don’t know.

Some day I might just grab a box and see…or maybe it will always be a no.

While running to the store and rooting around for snacks for me is not something I enjoy-they, do make the perfect gift for your gluten-free snacks loving in your life, just sayin!

For now, I am happy to have a quick fix and, hopefully a new list of favorites to go with my beloved SoLo Bars.

9 Gluten-Free Snacks You Can Make At Home

As much as I love the convenience of the gluten-free snacks haul my husband brought home as a gift, I do realize that they are not sustainable with our budget.

As a working mom who homeschools, it is important for me to find ways to stretch our dollars, even when it comes to foods with dietary restrictions.

Here are a few of my favorite gluten-free snacks that are not pre-packaged:

  1. popcorn
  2. meat wrapped cheese – take sandwich meat and cut your cheese block into sticks, wrap the meat around the cheese.
  3. hummus with crackers or vegetable chips
  4. Fruit and nut roll-ups – For this snack, choose a tortilla made with gluten-free whole grains, peanut-free butter and chopped fruit or jam
  5. Yogurt parfait with granola
  6. Trail mix – using a mix of nuts and dried fruit make your own mix
  7. Rice cakes with nut butter and fruit
  8. Rice crackers and tuna
  9. Roasted chickpeas

There you have my top easy grab-and-go gluten-free snacks that are also peanut-free! If you are gluten-free, what is your favorite snack?

If you are looking for a great subscription box, I would recommend checking out Love With Food. They have a lot of options.
