Hey its Friday! We’ve been having a great week testing and trying out new curriculum for next year.
We homeschool until the end of June and our last month looks a bit different then the rest.
My daughter is on the hunt for a new Math program. My son is hunting for French. If you have suggestions I’d love to know about them.
We have been having a lot of fun with our audio stories from Around The World Stories. These Original audio stories to help children discover the world through story, activities, interactive maps and recipes or at least the one we are listening too.
But my very favorite part? I don’t have to think of things to go along with the story. I am the least creative person I know.
So we settled in after school to listen while we did snacks and printed of the recipes for the food. Can you guess what Country it is from the food above?
I managed to grab the missing few ingredients and after school on Thursday the kids were ready to bake. I was worried, I had never worked with puff pastry before. It defrosted a bit too much making it harder to unroll but we got it.
I also insisted on using parchment paper on the cookie sheet as I hate scrubbing for hours. My dishwasher is broken making parchment paper my life saver!
As you can see in these photos it turned out pretty great! I love using hands on to help reinforce learning! I *think* I just might fall in love with these stories from around the world.
